Wendover Interpretive Research Programs 2016-2017

4839 For the 2016-2017 seasons, CLUI Wendover research programming will be focused on the exploration and examination of the land and waterscape of the Great Salt Lake. Areas of special interest include the expansive exposed shores, the evaporation ponds, islands, and impounded bays, including Bear River Bay, Stansbury Bay, Farmington Bay, and Gunnison Bay.

Some research projects might be aided by the Great Salt Lake Exploratory Platform (GSLEP), a floating habitat and workspace that enables extended stays on the watery fringes of the lake.

Proposals for creative interpretive projects engaging this environment and its phenomenology (for the April-November, 2017 season) are being considered up to March 1, 2017.
