Secaucus meets Jersey City, Route 9, Route 1, Route 7—the Lincoln Highway, the Newark Turnpike, and Tonnelle Avenue—and two New Jersey Transit railway lines converge, at a bottleneck at the base of the Bergen Hills next to St. Peter’s Cemetery. On the other side of the hill lies the Holland Tunnel. The best way out of the Meadowlands from this chaotic confluence of intersecting modes of transport is the Pulaski Skyway.
