At the east end of the old marina area at the end of Patterson Plank Road is the new River Barge Park and Marina, operated by the NJ Meadowlands District Commission. This is a newly developed access point for recreational activities on the Hackensack, and a new official portal into the wet world of the Meadowlands. People can take official eco-tours on the Hackensack on the commission’s fleet of pontoon boats.
