Mill Creek Marsh extends south of the river to the shopping center at Harmon Meadow, and is bounded on the east by the New Jersey Turnpike’s eastern spur. The marsh exists because of mitigation regulations that required the destruction of the marsh for the Harmon Meadows commercial development to be offset by the preservation of marsh here.
