The old Patterson Plank roadbed follows electric lines across an abandoned golf ball driving range to the base of a bridge, no longer there, at an abandoned marina, and a former barge site for crossing the river. The bridge connected to Secaucus, on the other side of the river, but was torn down after Route 3 was built in the 1930s. This place is a rare remnant of bygone Hackensack river life.
