Midwest Controlled Storage

This former underground limestone mine, located inside a bluff at Quincy, Illinois near the Mississippi River, between Kansas City and Chicago, opened as a storage facility in 1969. Mostly serving the food industry, it has 2.3 million cubic feet of cold storage, and around 500,000 square feet of dry storage. Known for a time as Underground Warehouses Inc., it was considered as a site for a Google data center at one point.
