Switch Pyramid Data Center, Michigan

The data center company Switch calls this The Pyramid Campus, and claims that it’s the largest data center in the northeast, as well as the most advanced data center on the planet. The site is the former corporate development center for the Steelcase Company, which built this pyramid-shaped building in 1989, and moved out of it in 2010. Switch bought it in 2016, and turned it into its northeast datacenter site. Switch has a flair for drama, and national geography. It calls its southwest data center campus in Las Vegas The Core; its southeast data campus in Atlanta The Keep; and its northwest data center campus outside Reno, The Citadel, which if built to its intended size, would be “the largest data center complex in the world.”
