Rudolph Grotto and Wonder Cave, Wisconsin

Elaborate religious grottos, shrines, and gardens covering more than seven acres, created by Father Philip Wagner and his assistant Edmund Rybicki on the grounds of St. Phillips Church, beginning in the 1920s. Includes a Wisconsin in Miniature landscape, and the remarkable Wonder Cave, which took 20 years to construct, inside mounds of rock and concrete built on top of the flat landscape, with nearly a quarter mile of tunnels.
