North Shores Yacht Club, California

One of the great icons of modernist decay around the Salton Sea, this building was designed by the Swiss-born Palm Springs modernist Albert Frey, opening in 1959. In 2010, after decades of abandonment and vandalization, the building enjoyed a short-lived resurrection as the Salton Sea History Museum, until its closing around two years later. The building is currently in use as a community center.
