Dave Johnson Power Plant, Wyoming

The Dave Johnson Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant built in 1958, and expanded with more units, now producing 800 megawatts. It was fueled by an adjacent mine until that was depleted and closed in 2000. The plant receives coal from mines in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin and is operated by PacifiCorp, a subsidiary of MidAmerican Energy, which in turn is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
