As part of the exhibit , the Center is conducting a bus tour
of Puente Hills Landfill and Materials Recovery Facility on Friday, August 1, 2008. Located near Whittier,
California, the Puente Hills Landfill is the main repository for
Los Angeles County's trash, and is currently the largest active landfill
in the nation.
The bus will depart from the Center for Land Use Interpretation's
exhibit space at 9331 Venice Blvd, Culver City, promptly at
9 AM Friday, and will return by 6 PM. Please
be at the CLUI no later than 8:45am to board the bus.
