The Site Extrapolation project "The VORs of Texas" is a photodocumentary catalog of all the VOR antennas in the state. VOR (Very high frequency Omnidirectional Radio) antennas are radio beacons used in aircraft navigation. They are spread out all across the country and serve as fixed radio sources detected by receivers on board most aircraft.

There are over 70 VOR's in the state, and CLUI field researcher Mark Curtin is tracking them all down and photographing them for an upcoming CLUI exhibit..
