Nevada Test Site Guide Wins Nevada Humanities Grant

State Funding Supports Publication of the Guide

The Nevada Humanities Committee awarded The Center the funding required to publish the Nevada Test Site Guide, the expanded Site Characterization project completed by The CLUI in recent months. The grant, awarded to The Center in December, will allow for a proper printing of the guide, which will be distributed around Nevada and will be available by mail-order through The Center.

The guide includes a detailed inventory of the 1,350 square mile facility and over 70 photographs taken by CLUI members. The 60 page book has been completed after several visits to the Nevada Test Site (NTS), and research and interviews with Department of Energy (DOE) officials, conducted over the past two years.

Copies of the heavily illustrated 60 page are availiable from the  CLUI shop.
